A Provincial Chapter is a special gathering of the Salesians of a Province, the administrative religious unit that includes educative and pastoral works in a determined territory under the leadership of the Provincial Superior. The THA or Saint Paul Salesian Province includes Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. The Salesians of Don Bosco arrived in Thailand in the 1930s, in Cambodia in 1991 and in Laos during the first decade of the 21st century.

The 2016’s Provincial Chapters around the work were invited by Fr. Ángel Fernández, Rector Major of the Salesians, in a letter sent to all world province superiors, where he underlined two main goals: the implementation of the General Chapter 27 and the reshaping of the Salesian presences in the different provinces.
