       The Educative Pastoral Communities of the Cambodian Salesian Delegation, lament the passing away of Mgr. Emile Destombes on January 28 at 12:30 in Phnom Penh. He was the former bishop of the Catholic Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh, former director of Caritas Cambodia and a representative of Caritas International during the troublesome years of 1970 to 1990. In the time of the Cambodian reconstruction and after he was elected Bishop in 1997, he was near to the development of the Don Bosco projects in favor of children and youth, giving encouragement to the Salesian missions. The funeral takes place on January 30 at 9 AM at the Saint Joseph Church in the capital.
