Merry Christmas from Sihanoukville
As we prepare ourselves to celebrate the happy coming of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The holy liturgy of Advent and the Christmas season is filled with faith in the divinity of Our Lord.
As a Don Bosco Sihanoukville community, we celebrate the birth of our Savior and listen to God’s message as He speaks to each one of us so tenderly and simply through the loving image of the Holy Family. Joseph and Mary’s acceptance of His will, moved by faith, trust and love in God, guided them to that “night of nights”.
Material things or our financial problems can cloud the nearness of God, but at the same time, the childlike love which delights in presents can often be a warm, infectious reminder of the love of God. We can teach our staffs, students and children in this regard but we can also learn from them too. Recognizing God’s presence is a first step. When the beauty of the world around us, the kindness of a confrere, staff, student or friend or the joy of a child reveals to us the presence of God, we are challenged to respond accordingly. We pray that God will guide us as we journey through the coming year. May we live with courage, trust, love with compassion and be the voice of Peace on Earth.
Once again Don Bosco Sihanoukville Community wishes you and your community and family a joyful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
