Sister Iva Andreotti, FMA’s missionary, passed away
Bangkok — The Salesian Sisters Provincial House in Thailand announced the dead of the Italian Sister Iva Andreotti this morning, at 5:05, from a respiratory failure. She was 82. Sister Andreotti was born on 30 June 1936 in Loreto, Italy. She did her first religious profession on 6 August 1957 in Torres Brancho, Italy and her perpetual vows on 5 August 1936 at Mantra, Myanmar. On 16 June 1966 she came to Thailand as missionary where she remained for 56 years, including a time in Myanmar. The Salesian Sisters in Thailand and the Thai Salesian Family thanks the Lord for the gift of the life and example of Sister Andreotti, who gave her life to the education and service of the young in the spirituality of Saint John Bosco and Saint Mary Mazzarello. The different FMA’s educative communities will organize this week prayers for her soul and the funeral at Bang Pong will be presided by Mgr. John Bosco Panya Kritcharoen, Bishop of Ratchaburi this coming Friday. RIP.
