Traditional color games in Don Bosco Cambodia
Kep City. Don Bosco Cambodia celebrates the traditional annual Color Games in all its educative centers, from Poipet and Battambang passing through the capital to Sihanoukville and Kep. It marks the celebrations for the feast of Saint John Bosco who died on January 31, 1888 in Turin, Italy. With a presence in 133 countries around the world, the Salesians of Don Bosco make a big contribution to the education of children and youth, especially those from poor and vulnerable situations. The Salesians got in contact with the Cambodian people in the refugee camps in Thailand during the Cambodian civil war (1979-1991). Don Bosco set in Phnom Penh during the Paris Peace process upon an invitation of the Royal Government. Since then, it has served hundreds of children and youth to improve their standard of life through education.
